Classroom Rules and Expectations
Classroom Rules
1. Students will follow all classroom rules and those stated in the School Handbook.
2. Use only school-accepted language and volume level. 3. Wait for your turn to talk by raising your hand and waiting to be called upon. 4. Save your food and drinks for your lunch. Only water with a cap is allowed in class. 5. Electronic device are allowed only during certain times. No texting, playing games, social networks or charging electronic devices allowed in class. 6. Be courteous to materials, do not waste materials. 7. Return supplies to where they belong before leaving classroom. 8. All trash needs to in trashcans before leaving classroom. |
Expectations for Academic Success:
1. Students will come to class ready to learn.
2. Students will get their sketchbooks and be seated before the tardy bell rings. 3. Attend to task assigned, when in doubt look on the board. 4. Respect others, the teacher, and yourself. 5. Have necessary supplies and materials. 6. Follow our classroom and school rules in the handbook. 7. Keep classroom neat and clean. 8. Clean your materials and your work area before leaving classroom. 9. Push your chair in and stand behind it until the teacher dismisses class. |
Discipline Procedures
1. Warning
Verbal or non-verbal que towards student to help them get back to task. 2. Teacher-Student Conference Student will be speak to teacher about inappropriate behavior away from other students. Will be informed of what will happen next if behavior is not corrected. 3. Parent Phone Call Teacher will call the student’s parent/guardian to inform them of the student’s behavior and how to work together to help the student to succeed! If behavior is continues, further action will be taken. 4. Disrespect Detention Teacher assigned lunch detention. 5. Office Referral Referral to office when all else has not worked. All steps taken to this point will be documented in referral. |
